Advanced Elements is imported and sold by Nick Pipe at Vortex, an independent retailer. Vortex aims to provide the very best advice & support for what is now Advanced Elements' main UK presence. Some great reviews below, but if I do make a mistake with an order or there is a problem I'll do my best to resolve the problem is the most efficient way!

Quick feedback regarding the Ultralite which I purchased from you last year to Stockholm, Sweden. Thanks again for the speedy and professional service and good advice! Just wanted to let you know that it's actually still my favorite kayak even if I own six and most of them are much faster. The versatility and portability due to the low weight is awesome. By statistics it remains my most used inflatable on-water vessel. During yesterday's 19km trip out of the region, I brought it with bus, metro, train and taxi and came across both a castle and an elk (!) on the water. So can't but still recommending it, warmly. We have just purchased our second Advanced Elements Ultralite kayak. Living in the Lake District we have plenty of opportunity to utilise it and its ease of use, quick drying, and quality make for great fun. It’s great for throwing in the back of the car and can be carried with minimum effort. We already have two Advanced Elements Advanced Frame kayaks which are superb albeit a little heavier. The quality of the kayaks and sturdiness make them great value in comparison to flimsier competitors. We purchased all our kayaks from Nick and his level of service is exemplary.

Hi Nick, Just wanted to say thanks for the service - received my Advanced Elements Sport in super quick time, everything fine and thanks for the extra sheet of info on inflating. Took it out for the maiden voyage today and I’m really chuffed. I bought the back-bone for when I’m out on choppy Scottish lochs this summer but went without it today and the tracking was fine. It will pretty much live in my car, ready for spontaneous mini adventures on my local rivers and canals in Cheshire. Many thanks! Jo

Hi Nick, Your excellent personal service much valued and the products excellent. It would be lovely to have better access to some of the more peripheral accessories which are rarely in stock (stick on D rings, some of the sacks for example) but this would seem to be a problem for all European retailers. Brilliant customer service. My orders were dispatched quickly, good communication and I was totally kept up to date. I had a problem with one of the items I ordered, so I emailed to ask about returns, including photos of the problem, and a replacement was dispatched almost immediately with no fuss. Advanced Elements kayaks are great, but the customer service / aftercare at Vortex is even better - easily as good as I've had anywhere, I couldn't have asked for more. All handled very efficiently via the website and email. There was a wait, but I new this from the start and was kept up to date with expected arrival dates.
